A great circle of overlanding friends gathered at the Awassi Cheesery on Saturday to celebrate Robyn’s 70th Birthday. It was in the Lockyer valley so an ideal starting point for us to head west tomorrow.

The evenings event was based around the hint of a Bird, hence the magnificent hummingbird cake.

We all camped in the Avocado grove and the long tables set also amongst the trees.

Awassi put on a truly superb evening, and whilst the wine flowed so did stories of past and thoughts of future global overlanding travels.
