The Wolseley Truck was manufactured in 1916 by the Ishikawajima Shipbuilding and Engineering Co.

The predecessor is Isuzu.

This makes Isuzu the oldest automaker in Japan.

Both the TX40 and the TX80 were manufactured in quantity for the Korean War and greatly assisted the postwar recovery of Isuzu.
