Volcanic eruptions; ‘A’ level volcanic activity rim walk and still alive!

In 2000 a volcanic eruption pushed this road up in steps as the ground rose.
The volcanic Techicnal word is a Graben.

This was the main road and the remains of a biscuit factory on the left.
331 craters formed in this area.

Mt Showa Shinzan is a lava dome that grew from nothing out of a corn field in 1944/45.
It’s still smoking.

Hells Valley Geothermal field.
Still alive and smiling

Sea food lunch.

Our next volcano walk - the last black bear was seen 4 days ago.
Hope he is not hungry!

If is not death by bear
it could be by poisonous volcanic gas or high temperatures
