There are actually 2 museums about an hour apart, both very impressive .

The display the whole process from timber mock up , hand panel making, casting the blocks etc
Only Toyota did it on his own after buying a Cheviot from the USA and broke it down pieces by piece.
Nissan, Honda etc formed partnerships and had that external guidance.

Toyota KC truck- 1945 - the wartime version- built mostly of wood.
Only 300kg was steel due to the shortage of supply

The first Landcruiser 1957
Model no FJ25L was the first to be exported in large numbers

Toyota truck model BM with firewood gas burner 1950 when fuel supply was difficult many different ways were invented to keep the trucks moving.
26,000 such units were made between 1947 and 1950 and were the mainstream production at that time

Toyota Dyna 1967

Toyota Toyopet Truck model SG 1953

Honda T360H 1965
