Micro campers, smelly fish, Japanese gondolas, underground excursions and more

The Japanese do everything small.
Check out this camping car- Micro

And they are friendly !

Tsunami again. Note the wave height.
300 people survived on the roof.

I like exploring, even foods.
Thought I would try small dried fish in sesame seeds.
That was until I opened the packet and the aroma …Lyn said
“ If you eat that you sleep outside”
Bin that one!

It’s Lyn’s birthday and a gondola boat trip up the Geibi Gorge

Today a walk one kilometre into the Ryusendo Cave.
It’s self guided with many narrow steps

But WOW!
Then you see this 90meter deep blue abyss

Birthday camp was on this back road.
Originally I parked under the concrete structure but on checking the structural integrity I thought best outside.

The birthday dinner I cooked Lyn.
Slow cooked pork with ginger and garlic sided with wild mushrooms and buttered spinach.

The Kitayamazaki Cliffs.
A 289 step walk down to this view point, but there were more on the way back on the same path!!!

Underground stuff today.

On to an Amber museum in Kuji.
This bead is around 2,000years old and they have been mining and trading here since then.

Camp on the wharf amongst the long line fishing fleet.

Ex fish vessels in ‘dry dock’

Atop of the Shiriyazaki light house at the furthest north eastern point of Honshu
