The Overland Telegraph Line Track - OTL
Wednesday, 8 July 2015 3:33 pm

Rob and I have done the track a few times previously, and it’s the first for John.
The OTL is a great drive.
Even in the light trucks, Rob’s Iveco 55S17W, my Fuso Canter FG84 and Johns Canter a FG649 , its a blast.

The Canter with only an LSD at the rear and now a new Detroit in the front still could not match the Iveco with all wheels locked and had to be towed out of this crossing.

The three trucks at captain Billy’s landing where we hid fuel drums in preparation for our quad bike run south.

John getting into some weird angles.

Robert in the Iveco hitting the water with some enthusiasm.

A nice neat bow wave ready for surfing.

Crossing Nolan Brook.
All 3 trucks uncounted no problems on the OTL.
From here we crossed the Jardine River and out to Ussher Point.
