Adventure 1.2 : The Snow Fields of Cape York - The White Sand Complex of Shelburne Bay

Wednesday, 24 June 2015 3:46 pm

The next two days we climb and walk the snow like huge dunes.

These dunes are made up of 98.9% pure silica.

The long running battle between a Japanese mining consortium, National Parks, The local Indigenous, the Greenies and the local lease holder makes it the longest National parks application in history and for an unprecedented legal battle.

On our final day we descend down to Shelburne Bay Beach
