Sub-Frame, Water/Fuel and Cut Out
Sub-Frame, Water/Fuel and Cut Out
Sunday, 10 January 2016
It is a slow process, but I am also not in a hurry.
Fuel is now 300Lts. The main OEM tank was replaced with a 200Lt tank and a specifically designed 100Lt plastic tank that mounts within the Kinetic sub-frame. The 100Lt tank will be pump fed into the main tank.
Water is 185Lts. Two tanks an 85 and 100 Lts both supported in the sub-frame.
The Sub Frame is what I call Kinetic. It is not directly connected to the chassis and takes up the chassis flex via especially designed springs. The eight springs have a particular length, tensile strength and diameter all matched to the load above.
On the RHS is the 3 House Battery tray, a 3 step electric step and a single Start Battery.
The Fuso comes with a 2 battery system but unlike the Isuzu it is still 12V, so only one battery is really needed. I will however have an emergence join between the House & Start and isolators on both.
To enable access from module to cabin a cut out of the back of the vehicle cabin was done. I have done a number of variations of this process and at this stage feel this is the best so far.
Now I just have to match the module side to this !
That is happening this week with a test fit.
